Where is the best/closest ramp to Davis-Besse Area? I generally fish further east but thought I would go west for some of them glow-n-the dark eyes. :D Thanks

Beef Creek Marina (419) 898-2455 4385 N. Rider Rd. and Browns marina both have ramps right beside bessie off rt2
you will enter the lake from tousaint creek which is right between camp perry and bessie. turn north on cover rd off rt 2 follow to rider rd, make a left, follow past paradise acre camp ground, road dead ends at marinas. Then on the west side of bessie on turtle creek which has deeper water you can use lamberjacks or turtle point marina.
Follow rt2 toHumphere Rd., then turn north(right) on Humphere Rd. first will be turtle point, real nice clean place with fish cleaning station or continue on Humphere to Turtle Creek Bridge,
you'll see lamberjacks store. As links mentioned, Fenwick is a good marina west of bessie you can spot right from Rt2, it's also on turtle creek but farther up the channel from the lake.
Hope this helps

I can give you directions but then you'd be lost just like me. :D One of these days I'll find my way around lol. If you guys come and hit CJ here soon let me know . My place is only about 15 or 20 min from there. Still deciding where to get my boat out and try the new motor.

Besst launch in the area is Wild Wings, but they are the most expensive - $10. They have short direct access to lake, no shallow areas or sandbars to worry about if you're a first timer and they are NOT as friendly or helpful as Fenwick or Turtle Creek :-) Guess they feel they don't have to be cause they have the best lake access. Their fish cleaning facilities also suck -- turtle creek has the best....... Best bait shop is Happy Hooker at corner of rt2 adn humphrey rd. Sat. may be ok with winds offshore and fish in 9 - 13 ft of water...

Thanks for the info we launched at turtle creek. I seen you out in front of davis besse today, or anyway someone in a boat that said rod bender on the side. I was drifting and you came by about 25 yards away. Tried to raise you on the radio but couldn't get you. Hope you had a good day out there. I got my ticket but it was a tough bite for awhile.
