My dad and I spent a few hours on State Ground in Wayne County looking for sheds, arrow heads and whatever else on friday with no luck. My dad returned on Sunday by himself and he was walking along a small uncut poor corn field when a deer jumped up out of the middle of it and took off running. My dad said it was running funning. As my dad continued he came to the deer's escape trail. He said it looked like a cow path. Anyway on it was a deer's leg from the knee down!!!!!!!! He said it had fresh blood on it and was swollen really bad. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Go looking for antler sheds and find nothing but a deer LEG!!

I thought I would share this amusing story. See what you see when you get out and enjoy the great outdoors?

Thats sad, must of broke it, and a festering infection contributed to it coming off. That puts me in mind of a video clip I saw on I think it was realtree outdoors, where three bucks were fighting and 2 of em ganged up on the other. They both ran into his right side full bore with antlers out like a bull. They repeatedly did this, breaking one of his legs and puncturing his side many times. You hear the father ask his son nervously for the riffle. "Give me the riffle!, Give me the riffle!!!!!!!" The buck somehow got up before the guy could shoot and hobbled away. The story is that they couldnt find the deer. Truly gruesome to watch

In one of my favorite spots I have to walk about a half mile to get to a certain spot. This spring I found a big buck carcass that is right in my path. I can smell it as soon as I get out of the car. Its real creepy when it is pitch dark in the morning.
