had limited success with the crappies at indian lake,on friday,with katfish.fished the channel pads and brush out of atchesons.
fished hoover with the toad,yesterday,but no fish.it was more of a boat break-in/water check.
surface temps were 48 on the main,50 in the north end and 55 in the twin bridges area.marked tons of shad,and the birds were gorging themselves.we were on crappies,drifting and anchored,but they had a bad case of lockjaw.looks like the spawn is gonna run later this year.i'm guessing at least 10 days for the north end yet,unless the weather turns for the better.
