Well tomorrow will be my first real 3-D shoot. I've been shooting on sundays with a church group and shooting fairly well considering my lack of practce and my ancient gear (mid 150's for 15 targets). I'll be at the Clinton County shoot early on saturday. Hope I don't make a fool of myself. Wish me luck, maybe I'll see a few of you guys there. Guess it's gonna be cold!

Good Luck!
I've been wanting to try a 3-D shoot. I'll have to wait till I get out of college however and hopefully find someone else to go. Assuming I have the time.

Glad to see your priorites are firmly in place. Plenty of time for all this play stuff after you finish school. Although all school and no play makes a dull boy!:D

I'll be graduating in September and interviewing for a financial advisor positions. The training and testing to be an FA is brutal.

I think the shoot went well. I ended up shooting a disapponting 262 for 30 targets. I was happy that my range estimation was my biggest problem and those skills began to come back in the second half and I started shooting 10's and 11's. I think shooting close to 300 is a definite possibility in the near future with improvements to the old bow and some much needed practice. Best thing is I had a great time with a great bunch of guys.

Don't be dissapointed with a 262. Most would kill to shot that good. My first shoot will be the Benefit4Kids shoot the 17th and 18th of April. You should go.

Explain this benefit for kids shoot. What kind of benefit is it. The reason I ask is I am the director of a group called SYC-Ohio. It's a Christian ministry where we take special needs youth 13-19 on all expense paid hunting trips. They can physically handicap or have or have survived a serious or life altering illness etc. Here are a few sites to check out.
BTW thanks for the encouragement. I did not mean to suggest my score was disappointing only my expectations of my performance was higher considering our team is going to shoot a few world qualifiers. 262 ain't gonna cut it I don't think.

Instead of me explaining others have done it. Just cut and paste this into your Address line on you browser above. They have this every year for a childrens charity. I think last year it was for Childrens Hospital. Here is an exerpt from the Benefit4kids website.
Benefit4Kids was founded in 1998 with its' primary mission to grant the outdoor wishes of children with life threatening and life limiting illnesses. We also work to involve today's children in the outdoors and the many activities it offers them. Many of today's children are denied the opportunity to experience the outdoors because of costs, lack of available mentors and a limited amount of facilities offering an all around outdoor experience. Benefit4Kids works to help these children experience the outdoors through several children's programs. Benefit4Kids also works closely with several children's camps designed to work with injured and ill children. Instructors at these camps are experienced in medical procedures necessary to work with these children. They are also experienced in archery, camping, outdoor cooking, hiking, nature and many other facets of outdoor activities. In working with these and several other children's camps Benefit4Kids will continue to assist many less fortunate children enjoy our great outdoors and help them to learn the morals and family values that are so often lacking today.
Hope this helps others make a decision to come.
