I didnt go this time but i heard it was alot of fun!! the trails were real muddy cause of the rain we had a couple days before. I did see alot of atv's and campers. Maybe next time i will go.
I may go in a few months. I am currently negotiating my trade in on the new Yamaha YZF 450. Looks like fun, but looked a little too muddy for a brand new 2wd quad

My father went. We're both members of the club. They require 16 hours of work time per year. My dad was in charge of selling tee shirts. He said he sold roughly 1000. One guy bought 10. Typically they have upwards of 2000-3000 bikes. I think one year they had 3500.
Thanks Buckmaster,
I'll have to have you check in with your dad to see when the place is drying out. Glad to hear it was a success.

They run dry and/or wet on the open runs. When its dry it gets very dusty so there's really no good solution. Just have to deal with it. More times than not, the bikes come back so covered with mud you can't tell a Yamaha from a Polaris, etc.
Good point,
Its pick your poison. Rather it be a little drier for the 2wd thats all. Im definatey down for the mud bogs, but was looking to take the race machines for a little wood riding.

it was pretty packed on the 3rd....after the first few miles of the ride, things started picking up....little backed up at the beginning but it opened up. I heard there was 2800 riders. Little muddy but not too bad.
Gonna try the May 29 trip if I can

When you get your new bike give me a shout and we'll try it out.
My deer camp, now turkey camp, is across the street from this ride. I'm a member of the club so I have riding privledges. I'll be down there tonight for turkey hunting in the morning. Maybe a little fishing and riding tomorrow afternoon. A couple weekends ago I rode a guy's day old Honda TRX450R. Talk about a nice bike. Its too much for me. I like to work bikes better.

Nice bike. Better be careful with that much power. My Polaris is sick literally. Needs some exhaust manifold gaskets. I'm a little leary about touching it because the exhaust studs are really rusty. I wish they used stainless. Life would be much easier for removal purposes. Kind of afraid about breaking the stud off then I'm literally screwed! Probably send it in to the Polaris dealer and get raped but at least I only have to worry about paying the bill.
Squirt them with some penetrating oil then maybe you could run it around for a minute and heat up the head a little to help break the surface tension. If the head is aluminum and the studs are steel, there can be a significant amount of surface tension and corrosion that if not eliminated could result in a snapped stud. clean them up with a good wire wheel first. Then give it a try, but ultimatley u be the judge. It would be cheaper for them to do it first with the old studs intact.
If its only the studs that are the difficult part, why couldnt u take it to an auto repair shop to have em remove the studs? just a suggestion. you could then buy some new ones from polaris along with the gaskets, and do the rest urself.

You should see an increase in traffic starting Friday. If you grocery shop in Adena you may want to go to Cadiz this weekend. There probably won't be much left at Fergies.
Weather outlook and a long weekend will mean a lot of bikes will be out there.

Yup buckmaster.... I see the traffic already and its only thursday!! Man i gotta get a ATV!
This weekend isnt looking good. Forgot it was mermorial weekend. Promissed the weekend to the misses. Gonna wait til it dries out a little. I already got her dirty last sunday, the bike that is, and it wasnt pretty. I'll tell u that bike cant putt around very much, it needs to go go go. How are the trails does it take forever to ride em with all the people? I just have mud and overheating nightmares. Another ride or 2 and it'll be broke in. One thing for sure, that thing rips.
Have a safe weekend.

Attendance was 1663. I worked the check-in and ticket sales. The furthest license plate I saw was from Nebraska. A great day to ride, dust was minimal. The next ride is June 26th.

I'm still contemplating getting a Kodiak, but I don't know if I would get enough use out of it to justify the cost. I'm still on the fence about this though right now it doesn't look likely.

Congrates! Get cold feet come on down.
If you carry through with it. I'll rent you my deer camp for the weekend for your Manly Man honeymoon retreat. Best of all the new Cabela's is only 1/2 hour away. You can get some nice camo treatment for the decor or a new shotgun for the new bride.
Hmm Southern Oh, I dont believe it fits her demands of laying on a tropical beach. I probably could have rented it for a good couple of months with what our honeymoon cost us, A week at the Sandals resort on the island of Antiga. I think sand.......maybe theyll have quads set up for sand draggin, I doubt it, but I can dream
Thatd be a perfect 1 for me though. I could spend 3k at cabelas, rent the place, eat like kings for the week, and still come out ahead. Oh well thanks for the offer.
