MISFIT

it's almost time for my annual assault on some of the central ohio waters.reports should be forthcoming within the next couple weeks.still don't have the boat ready, but hope to have it in the water by the end of the month.
toad's boat is still under (re)construction, but should also be ready for action by that time also.
then, look out.here comes the terrible twosome for some more "misadventures"
first order of business will be searching out crappies and eyes at hoover, hopefully followed by eyes and wipers at buckeye, and an attempt to assault the big pond as soon as possible
as usual,my weekend fishing will be reserved(for the most part)for sharing a boat(mine or his)with the toad, along with occasional weekday evenings.
aside from that,i fish weekdays alone, but have been know to offer the second seat to just about anyone who is willing to put up with me,and not get upset when i outfish them, hehe.
so everyone sit back, relax, and prepare for another edition of "the misadventures of misfit and the toad"
:D :D

were a few weeks behind of last year. The boats should have been in the water by now. We haven't been out in a boat since the january 1st ice breaking adventure . We got to get rolling cause Ray-bob is already ahead of us on the eyes.

Here we go again
She's back in town again
I'll take her back again
One more time

Here we go again
The phone will ring again
I'll be her fool again
One more time

I've been there , before
And I'll try it , again
But any fool knows
That there's no way to win

Here we go again
She'll break my heart again
I'll play the part again
One more time

I've been there , before
And I'll try it , again
But any fool knows
That there's no way to win

Here we go again
She'll break my heart again
I'll play the part again
One more time

I'll take her back again
Just one more time

Heheh ~ Hang a Hog Guys!:D

ray, i have'nt decided about any tourneys yet. i thought about the gander mntn tourney on I.L. but it look's like they require marine radio's on all their tourney's. good idea for erie but inland lakes? if ya want to fish any of them let me know and i probably will.

lovin the new lund so far. i gave her a good work-out tues morn coming back across the lake. it was rougher than all get out but she handled it just fine.

i'm on 3rd shift at work for about 6 months. i got bumped off of 2nd shift. can you believe that crap. well time to head for the salt mines. catch ya all later.

Southside Jeff, my last Eye-tourney in this lifetime ended at Seneca with our 4 lber;)

The April 4th Indian Lake Eye tourney is a dual WOWC & GNWC tourney..you can fish either or both. I don't know about the ship-to-shore req on the WOWC side for IL........I'll ask.

-Heck we can have a lil' fun type piggy-poo compo between us whenever you want:cool: :D

-sorry to hear about the shift change ... see ya on the water or cruisin' on the Hog:)

Tis crappie season for me & the I-chase will begin in mid-April.. I can't cast long with bad shoulders, so the channel I-checks are enough for me till the troll-bite fires up ... Also I'm not into smelt dippin' (blade-baits) - lol, so I be a-trollin' for the most part as soon as the S-Eyes say "I wanna chase n' slam to fill my tummy":)

I really do miss the "Tap n' Glide" "Slow-speed" double jig Hot-bite days of old ~ but I have a blast with the "Warp-speed" Hot-bite n' can still drop the da hammer;) ~ if-in' ya see my net fly it's over 6 for sure!!!:)

Haven't been out yet, but plan to hit the local lakes here in Eastern Ohio next week and I have 3 stripmine ponds on my property. They don't launch until April 15 at Atwood, but I plan to have the "Barbie J" in as soon as I can. "At Atwood" always sounds like I stutter when I say or write it.:)

I kept hearing and reading so much about the new GULP bait that I had to buy some to try. I'll let you know how it works after I give it a try.

Hey Ray, I remember that walleye from Seneca. Better than anything me and Lundy caught. LOL.

Nice to see you around.

Yes, that day was one of life's great experiences for sure:rolleyes: ;)

Jeff had the pump runnin' 24/7 but re-circ-in' 100 degree surface water on a 95-100 degree day just didn't cut it with our friends in the L-well. I was a-smokin' & "not" from the air temp after Jeff pounded the hot blacktop for a half hour in search of the fearless .......... -- anyhow, she got released early n' hopefully safely after a chat with you guys ... I was so slow comin' down from that experience that I made a "post-slam" that wasn't against NE ohio when I said Jeff & I came home early from the tourney to Ohio ~ Now that I'm a-thinkin' about it again, I notice that I'm tappin' my foot as I type ......... heheh:)

Later Gator n' Hang a Hog!!!

ah yes, the memories of a scalding hot day on the water. i think that eye you caught was almost ready to eat after spending some time in the box in that heat.
