Well I finally got a .17 HMR. It is a Savage 93R17 it has a black stock and heavy barrel. I have a Leupold 4x12x40 AO to put on it but need rings. I’ll have to order some Monday. I have been trying to do a trigger job but can only get it to a creepy 4 lb. Is there a good after market trigger I could get? Id like to get it to a crisp 3 lb.

Congratulations on the new toy, I have considered one myself, I have really thought about a Ruger 77, I have heard they are produceing or will be soon a HB like the VHZ they have out now, but I havent seen one or heard about prices, sounds like you got a pretty sweet rifle going with the 4X12 Leupold, let us know how it shoots.

Thats a nice looking rifle, how much are they running? I have been hearing all kinds of GOOD things about the CZ rifles, do they have a website where I can look at all the different models?

That is a beauty. I just can't swing the price of one of those right now. I feel kind of odd putting a scope on it that was almost twice the price of the rifle.
Buckrun:rolleyes:

Buckrun, Your gun will only shoot as good as you can aim it and cheap scopes don`t always aim at the same place twice.:D Sounds to me like your giveing it a good chance to really show it`s potential.

Smallie34 , I can't find it on their website either . But I have one . I have been told that they are going to make a couple of different models in 17 HMR . Mine is a CZ 452 American .I also have it's twin in 22 mag and hope to soon get one in 22 lr . I really like the CZ's , I have a 527 in 22 Hornet too .(which is now a K-Hornet)

The 17 HMR was $369 . I don't remember exactly how much the 527 was , I've had it for a while . It is the Lux model . I got it before they came out with the "American" (I wish I would have waited ! I like the American models a lot more) I think the cost was around $425 if I remember right .

I havent made any calls yet, they list a shop that I have been to alot as a dealer of theres(on there website) a hornet would be nice to...but I already have 2 so the 17HMR makes more sense, I will go back and forth a million times before I finally buy something.
