Deer camp ??

Ok guys tell the truth out of a five day hunt how many days do you hunt,also how many hours do you hunt per day during a deer camp??

Depends on the weather, location, ie is the area large enough to hunt without burning it out. If its at a large place, id say everyday. Hours are another great question. Me and my buddy had a mini deer camp last nov, and it was extremely hard to hunt as much as we did. there are somedays where you just have to take the morning off and get some rest. Add some beer, and its a crapshoot.

I'll hunt all 5 days, 3 or 4 hours in the morning and 3 or 4 in the evening

everyday when i at camp and i would say at least 8 hours a day

I'm in the woods about a hour to half hour before legal shooting time.

I come out around 1030 or 11 am for chow.

I like to be back on stand around one pm.

Once back on stand I'll hunt until I can't see my site pins, which is usually about 15 minutes to one half hour after sunset.

When I go home to deer hunt then that is pretty much all I focus on. Since the deer hunting isn't that great where I live I try to make the most of the little bit of time I have to hunt quality animals. My mother and family are used to it.....:)

I think on the average............. about 4 hours a day sounds good but I too sometimes have to add in the beer factor right Ray? We go to deer camp to have fun with hunting buddies and sometimes dont get out as often as we like but we do our serious hunting at home. If we get a deer it would be a bonus. Heck 2 years ago a t camp I only went out twice for a total of about 6 hours. Had a lot of fun that year :D

* Wake up make breakfast.
* Decide if I want to go hunting or not (usually not)
* Drink an iced tea after breakfast
* Decide if I want to go out during the late morning (usually not)
* Make lunch (while wearing a cowboy hat)
* Drink iced tea after lunch
* Decide if I want to go out after lunch (usually not)
* Make dinner
* Eat dinner
* Sit around the camp fire with good friends and laugh all night.
* Go to bed after 18 or 19 iced teas.

The rest of the week usually follows this same schedule. My goal is to get out once a day. But most importantly, have fun at deer camp with the boys, therefore, I do all my hunting back home.

I can hunt just about everyday during the hunting season back home.

I have never actually been to a "deer camp" and it sounds like fun! I just might have to check it out this fall!

If I have a tag I am hunting everyday. Last year I didn't even take the bow w/ me, I just hung out and slammed some cold ones. Oh yea, and we ate and ate and ate!!!!!!!!!!
As far as actual hours I don't have a clue. I just hunt, time spent in the field is irrelevant as long as I am there.

I would hunt all 5 days. I'd be in my treestand before daybreak and hunt until 10 am then I'd go back for lunch, do any related deer camp projects, and have a couple cold ones. Brush teeth (beer breath) and back out into the woods about 3 pm and hunt until dark.

Rjolenic, What's in your ice tea that you can't make it out into the deer woods???
