I have used both, but with the help of some other hunters started buying my seeds from a feed/seed store and save a ton of money. Both plots I planted with their seed came up good and the deer where in them but I really was not able to tell a difference between the cheaper seed I mixed on my own.

Ive used the Imperial Clover, and have had good results with it. It cost a little more than clover seed you buy at the co-op, but I get about 5 to 6 years of growth with a single planting with the Imperial. The seed I bought at the local co-op lasted only 2 seasons before I had to disc and replant. I just put on a little fertilizer in the spring, and spray if needed for grass and weeds, and cut it when it gets about about a foot tall.

I have used Imperial Whitetail clover. I presently have 2 acres of it right now. The deer and turkeys love it.
