You do not have to look anywhere other than this website to find law breakers. Look at the post "varmint "turkey in the trapping and varmint section. Thanks for posting this and your views.

do you know 100% that those pics are out of season?
you think maybe the guy does nuiscence control work and is licensed?

why is everyone so quick to pass judgement when you pretty much dont know 100% of the facts?

you guy's are sounding like a certain game warden i know ...guilty till proven innoscent..

i thought if i remember right from school it was innoscent till proven guilty.

I have a question. If a coon gets in my chicken coop and starts killing my chickens, what should I do? I figure I have three choices. 1. Call the game control and try to get someone out here to take care of it for me. 2. Wait until Nov. when season comes in, catch them and end the problem. 3. Run to the house, get a gun and take care of the problem. I figure I would loose too many of my hens before option 1 could come around. #2 Would never work. I’d be out of chickens and the coon would be long gone by the time season comes in. So I’ll leave it up to you which choice I would take. You want to buy some fresh brown eggs? $1.00 a doz.

I'll give you one to think about. You have a quail pen with 4000 quail in it and flight pens with 3000 ringnecks in them. The coons come around for the six week old ringnecks and pull their heads off thru the chicken wire and the hawks set on your posts till the birds spook to the top of the netting. What do you do? I'm not a rocket scientist but the bottom line is the bottom line. You cannot trap them or bait them but if they are killing your livestock they can be eliminated. I lost more birds last year to protected hawks than ever before. Owls are also a problem. You just protect your flock the best you can. Jack

I agree with Razor on this one. There sure are some guys starting to show up on this site that have a different perspective. Seems they want to make accusations and then ask questions? That's ridiculous!

thanks critter, i feel the same, i've been down the guilty till proven innoscent road and it stinks. i do everything i can to go by the books, i do alot of trapping and hunting and have great relationships with the land owners, and when someone starts rumors and accusations about your ethics or whatever, that aren't true it can hurt a persons reputation and eventually may lead to loss of hunting rights. thats why this subject seams to fire me up.
buckrun, my neighbor raises coon hounds.. you want me to bring his noisiest hound with me to leave for you when i visit? lol..
seriously though, in my trapping and nuiscence catalogs i get they have a spray that is gauranteed to keep coons away from areas sprayed. i'll dig the catalogs out and get you more info if interested.

Just my 2 cents, but here it goes anyway. My neighbors have two dogs that I watch down here daily that can smoke deer tracks. I live on 130 acres and have 30 some head of cattle that are calving right now. These dogs run through my pasture after deer on a daily basis. But they dont bother my livestock, just deer. I could shoot them for running deer, but then Id have some POed next door neighbors. I could tell them since both work and Id say they would have them put to sleep or tell me to shoot them. They are not mean dogs and they dont bother my stock. And I know the neighbors like theyre dogs or they wouldnt feed them. Hmmm? BUT, if they were destroying my stock, there wouldnt be any hesitation. As goes any wild critters running around destroying livestock on a daily basis. Whether I had sheep, chickens, cows, pheasants or quail. I know several GW's on a personal basis, and the most of them are pretty good guys. If you talked to them and told them the situations, the most of them will tell you the same thing, and turn theyre back. Take care of it the best way you can. Ive even had them give me permits to take care of the unwanted critters. Most of you guys are ethical hunters and I know you dont want to break laws and harm our wildlife resources. But sometimes you have to take action on your own. No one is going to hold it against you, except maybe PETA. And I got to make another opinion while Im typing this book. Is that I dont like to see animals of any kind POISONED! Kill them outright. I hate to see animals suffer from there guts getting ate out. Well, thats about it.:D Buckrun, option 3 sounds the best to me.:D ;)

On the farm we always soaked a few old rags with kerosene to keep the coons outta the sweet corn...

Varmint control companies in most cities must euthinize and destroy raccoons. They are not allow to sell the pelts or in anyway keep them.I believe they are insinerated in most cases when they are destroyed.
