pest raccoons

Guys if I have several pest raccoons on my property, am I allowed to live trap then kill them? I dont have a fur takers permit, and the season ended on the 31st of Jan..

im not sure but i would live trap them and move them to another location, i dont know if that is legal, but thats what i would do, just move them far enough that they dont come back

I don't think you can kill them out of season. I believe you are allowed to live trap them and relocate them, but you have to drive them far off. Don't take them 5 minutes down the road or they will be right back. My uncle trapped some and he had one come back twice. He said after the second time it came back and he could tell it was the same one, he drove it out for an hour and that did the trick.

LEGALLY, you can't do either. You can't kill them out of season and you can't transport and release them live. The only legal way to deal with them is to call a pest control service. That being said, I refuse to pay someone to do something I can very easily deal with myself. If you in a public area, it's probably better to take the safe route and call someone. If your in the country, we won't tell anyone.:D ;)

I've always wanted to have a racoon as a pet.

Personnally if I wanted to get rid of them then I'd do the dirty work myself....
