for anyone looking for some great trout fishing,in beautiful country, this is THE place.

i've made several trips to the area in late oct./early nov.
camped on the bank of the white river and spent a week catching bows, cutthroats and browns, and hoping for that elusive 20+ pounder.the falls is something to see when those fish are making their run
the white and northfork rivers are about as good as it gets when it comes to trout fishing, whether with spinning or fly tackle:wading or drifting in a boat.

I've read alot about that! Someday I'd like to hit the North Fork, It looks like substantially smaller water than the White. I like the smaller waters best.

there's not a lot of difference in many of the places i fished.they're both easily fished below the dams,by wading or from bank.drifting is a good way to cover a lot of water not accessible by foot.

I went down there with some older friends from work for 5 days of fishin'in the late 60s ... we mostly caught alot of dink hatchery bows & not the ones we heard about. Great country though:)
