New Erie Anglers Club being formed...

With the help of Cranberry Creek marina and lots of friends, I am attempting to organize a Lake Erie West Basin fishing club. 1st meeting will be 6PM Feb 3rd, at Cranberry Creek Marina which is about 1/2 way between Vermilion and Huron on Rt 6.

The focus of the group will be social and fish catching information but also will look at other environmental and political issues like dead zones, creel limits etc.

I'll be at the Cleveland boat show on both weekends at the Cranberry exhibit, if anyone has questions or wants to volunteer help, look me up. We'll have flyers available there also. You can Email me at marchudson@adelphia.net

I have attended the first 2 meetings (organizational stuff) andthere has been a really good turnout. If you like to fish Lake Erie, I would really recommend that you check this club out. Marc is a great guy and the officers elected will undoubtably do an excellent job. Some of the short term plans are to hold members fishing tournaments, cook-out/get-togethers and some youth/disabled fishing events.
It presents a great opportunity to meet some new people, learn some new things, and contribute something back to one of our favorite resources. Hope tyo see you at the next meeting- May 6 at 7 PM at Cranberry Creek Marina, just east of Huron on Rt 6.

Boy I would like to come up but the 6th is a thursday and that would be a long haul being how I'd have to work the next day. Post when they are going to have something happening on a weekend. It sounds like like there will be some good times.
