The first meeting for the Buckeye Bowfishing Association was held last satuday and was attended by about a dozen sportsmen. Those in attendance voted on such things as the dates and formats for upcoming tournaments,membership fees,tournament formats, and other related issues.It was decided that an annual membership fee of $10 would be collected from all joining members .Anyone interested in The Buckeye Bowfishing Association can email me onefisherking@aol.com. Here is some of what has been voted on.The first of which was The Buckeye Classic..This years shoot will be held on the Ohio River out of Boat Smiths Marina on July 31 and Aug. 1(7am Sat. untill 8am Sun.) in Sweetwine ,Oh.The format will be a total weight of 20 fish.Those 20 fish must consist of 4 fish from each of 5 categories.(Carp,Gar,Bigheads&Silvers,Buffalo,& Shad)..Another shoot will be held at Alum Creek(Just North of Columbus) on March 20..Ramp,time and format will be decided at a later date..
