I went to IL Sunday and did well on the panfish. Caught about 30 keepers, mostly gills. I had to leave just as the crappie bite was starting on account of the snow. Did see a few keeper eyes caught. Ice was about 7" everywhere I fished.

The last I fished Indian was on the 20th. We caught alot of fish mostly gills. I kept 32 fish. 4 crappies, and 28 gills fish bit on spikes wax worms and mousies. The water was murky, and you had to sort the fish but there was alot of action. Chartruese jig was my best. assoon as the wife gets better I will be back out. Has anyone caught any fish this week thank you

Like I mentioned to JC in another post -- "I kinda think the old fart has hung-up his Ice-Spurs n' I'll get my ice-fix by a-keepin' tabs on Y'all"

I only went out twice this year early after dark for eyes in 2 different for-sure spots & did well .. I've been kinda layed up with lower back problems now for the last couple of weeks from drillin' those holes in just 3-5"es of ice ~ on top of that in the 2 prior years I took early January spills at Acheson's & on the icy rocks below the dam that wiped out the rest of the season -- gotta save the old body for trollin' & long-roddin' come spring:)

Fihed from noon till 5:00 Tueday at the NF hole. Only caught two small hammer handles ,didn't see anyone else do any better. Where have all the eyes gone?

Orlando, a few of us are planning on meeting at Mcdonalds in Lakeview at 7:00 am Sunday then heading to do some ice fishing. Let me know if you want to meet up.

Got the ok from the mrs. for sunday. I'll be at Mc D's munchin and sippin coffee around 7. How long I'll stay on the ice I don't know due to the cold. Not real set up for cold weather fishing but I'll hang as long as I can.

Thanks for the invite but I have to work. Thats the reason I became self employed so I wouldn't have to work weekends. Maybe another day, I do have a two man shanty. Good luck guys
