1/24 Sat afternoon - 11:30 pm. Tried a non-community spot we hadn't iced before. 1 - 21" & 1 - 18". Missed a couple. 3.5-4' hard bottom. Nearest deep water was 5'. Big shiners, 10 tipups & 1 long deadstick + a couple of ice rods until the last couple of hrs when we tried a move to 2-4'. Marked very few fish and only had a few "run and drop dinks". 21 may have kept us in 1st spot too long.

Pretty nice after the wind settled after dark. Quads running length of lake in center section Plenty fishing Fairfield & Cranberry, some quads were set up on towpath when we arrived but pulled out before the evening bite.

Good Luck,
jc

I fished the Marsh Fri. and Sat. Blanked on eyes Fri., Caught about 30 decent gills and alot of crappie, mostly ran on the small 6-7 inch range but there were a few nice ones mixed in. Sat. ended with 4 decent eyes, 2-15, 1-17, and 1-20. Caught several dinks also. Again, ALOT of small crappie. All gills and several crappie were caught on a chartruese and orange pin-min tipped with a wax worm. Some crappie came on small spoons and all eyes came on small rocker type spoons in a Chart. and green color. All in all a decent couple days fishing. Wish I could of got out today, with this front coming in I'd think today would be avery productive day. Good Luck, Craig

Buddy went back to same spot Sun evening and had 3 off tipsups and 4 by rod. At least some came from 2.5' and the rest 3.5' . Said they wanted fatheads over the shiners. No keepers. Not sure when he left - after storm hit but not late.

R, Hopefully bad reports have entertainment value:)

I wanted to try PaBoo's/Club 51 but bud called before I left Col and said it was a no go so I decided to explore the back side of Liebs in an area I hadn't been (dredge has been over that way for a few years). 1st two holes in the N canal were mud, cut a couple more in 2.5' of mud bottom before I had the sense to use the flasher. Never found more than 2.5 fow before the storm hit. Drawdown:)

I knew of a not too far away area with deeper water further s but decided the drive home might take awhile and decided to bag it since I missed the window I wanted. Never claimed to be the brightest bulb.

Fun to be out.

Fished Club 51 Sat PM - 1st on there since last snow at least. Aerators abound. I stuck with rods & buddy fished tipups and rods. I stuck one and caught one crappie out of a quick school and buddy saw one saugeye kiss his minnow on Aqua-view. I fished from 4-6'. I marked a few lookers and bait everywhere I fished. Prob bagged it around 9 -9:30.

License check by very nice warden. Cold but no wind. Nice nite for being fishless.

Fished a 3-4' non-com spot Sat 2/7 & scored 3 that weren't much bigger than the shiner. Bud caught a crappie, 12 tip-ups & rods w/fatheads and shiners. Stayed for only an hr after dark.

Know of 3 guys who took a small eye & a kitty off the marsh Sat w/18 tipups & rods. Buckeye Outdoors had a pic of a couple of VERY nice fish that were caught on 2/4. Old style super shad raps for $5 (not the new ones)

Fished a pond Sun eve. Buds caught bull gills, I worked on the small ones. Camera man caught the most & said they favored waxworms over spikes. Flasher will beat him next time.
