Used to ice fish when i was still in high school and had nothing but time on my hands but know i have giving up that sport and moved on, good luck to all those on the ice and be careful.

I usually go about 2 to 4 times a year. It is a good way to break the cabin fever. Though, I also hunt alot in the winter as well.

Between spotty ice conditions and a lack of easily accessible perch and northerns to fish for(my favorites fish for perch with tip-ups for pike) I just don't get the motivation to get out like I used to.

I never have ice fished. When I was in Ohio and the ice was thick enough we would skate up and down the creeks or on the ponds but never fished. Now I am in the south the only ice you get is on the roads. O' what a sight it is to drive in Atlanta rush hour traffic with "black ice" on the roads. Shoot its bad enough when its dry!

Don't do that anymore. I guess I just don't have time. When I was young we would go quite often up in northern Wisconsin.

you ice fish more than 5 but less than 10? When I lived in michigan I would be in the 50 plus range but here in ohio I'm lucky to get out 10 times before the ice gets iffy. But 10 is enough cause as I get older it gets to be a lot longer walk out on the ice than it was 30 years ago. :D
