HEY GUYS I FISH ALOT OF STREAMS IN WV AND I FISH PEIDMONT ALOT MY FAVORITE BAIT IS A 6INCH CRANE BAIT A VERY SHALLOW DIVER BUT MY LOCALE SHOP CLOSED DOWN NOW I CANT FIND THOSE LURES ANYMORE.... I HAVE ONE LEFT BUT I CAUGHT 26 FISH LAST YEAR ON IT, IT LOOKS PRETTY BAD, I NEED SOME INFO ON FINDING MORE

Do you mean crank baits? Rapala makes a good shallow running bait. I believe it is called a Shad Rap Shallow Runner. You should find it at Walmart or any other dept store.

hey ctitter getter i meant crain baits it is a crank bait, but not made by rapala. thanks ohio sportsman, i will check the site out and see if it is there

Crane's are darn good lures. I prefer them for casting as opposed to trolling. Here are a few retailers that carry them (besides getting them direct from Bill Crane :D )

im not sure what the color is called maybe a green perch, not sure. it is mainly green with some white stripes, ive caught several fish on that one plug and its starting to loose its color

Hey bill if ya are plannin on going to the pittsburgh musky expo, they will have them there. At least they did last year. They are a pretty tough lure.

Cool thanks Bill. Ive never even seen one caught before but I hear theyre are some in the Maumee or used to be. How long did it take you to catch one?

it didnt take very long, the first ones i ever caught were at peidmont, i was throwing crankbaits for saugeyes.. after that i caught a few more there, but now i mainly fish the smaller streams here in wv. there is a lot of fish in the smaller rivers here, they may not be as big but when u can catch several it doesnt matter:D

Yeah sounds great. Ive got my grandpa turning out some wooden baits right now and I will run the wire and balance and paint and lip. Should be fun.

hey lunker, how did your baits turn out, i would guess pretty good old timers are good at that, maybe i could get you to send me one, ive got some good places to try them out

Not bad at all. I found out Loc Tite epoxy sux, Im getting some Devcon if I can find it. Whats your favorite color scheme I might be able to work something for ya?

something either green and white or brown and white, is what i have had most of my luck on im gonna go try my luck on sunday
