This pic taken from my front porch shows the front of my house...It is not uncommon to see as many as 30-deer at once in the fields...I have had bucks as close as 10 feet from my house.

Nice looking area. My parents live down in Willowwood and I pass though that area to see them and hunt on the property. Great looking area down that way.;)

No i did not get that one, I have shot two 6-pointers, and three does here, and my son has shot a doe here...I have seen a couple 10 pointers also...We usually just hunt for the meat and shoot the first deer that comes by...If I would be more paitent and just hunt for the big boys I would imagine I could harvest a dandy.

I'll be coming down that way to do some fishing in the Ohio with my Dad. Maybe we can hook up while I'm down and catch a few.

Great!! Does your son go out all the time with you. I have my son with me when I go. He is learning to catfish. He's 12.

It all depends, he is 15 and sometimes he enjoys it and wants to go, and sometimes not...Probably about 50 percent of the time he is with me.

mine gets that way. it depends on what the girls around the area are doing. It's that smell of perfume that gets them everytime.

FLATHUNTER

I've done a lot of hunting around the Jackson area. Use to hunt a farm on the other side of Jackson out near the airport and some of Waterloo Coal Companies stuff. I mainly hunt down towards Ironton on "The Wayne"....below Blackfork and Oak Hill.

I originially hail from Ironton and currently am an engineer and own a business in the Dayton area...thumped those hills for about 20 years....that's "my neck of the woods". I now do most of my hunting outside of waverly on private property.

I'll have to "swing bye" sometime with my self-climber and show you one of those 10 points around your house up close and personal (dead)...hehehhe...I like 10 points, especially biguns'!
Not much into meat hunting, busted a doe's gut while skinning her out back in 91 and my face was right down there "in it", just picture Rosie Odonnell riping a big one in your face...yep , that's the smell....now, even hamburger makes me wanna toss my cookies when I smell it...so, needless to say I have lost my taste for "deer meat", now I'll tear up some jerky or sausage, but every time I wanna try a bite or cook some deer meat, I start dry-heaving....been 10 years, guess it will never go away.

I know where trippies is, but I am ususally hitting about 85 or 90 early in the morning trying to make it Oakhill.....Always thought it was called "tpies"....guess I better quit driving so fast hunh..hehehhe.
