I caught this guy on camera a couple weeks ago. Hoping that I can get a chance to take him. What do you think he'll score? I'm guessing him to be a borderline 140" before deductions.

If you can, and think he'll make it, keep him happy and hanging around and he'll blowup next year.. But if you just got a pic of him for the first time a couple weeks ago he was probably a neighbor buck out cruising. Stick him if he's what you want.. But if you could hold out on him i think he would be a slammer next year.

I have pics of this deer from two years ago. I usually only put my camera up in this area for one week out of the season just to see what all is in there. I always save this woods for late season but I might have to get in there earlier this year. By the way, this is in an archery only area.

lol i love how everybody on this forum wants to let every buck grow another year... its not always that simple i dont think. a lot of different circumstances come into play. although i do agree if you know the buck has been around for past years maybe let him go another but like i said, lot of different circumstances go into that.

They can't get bigger if ya don't pass them.. Sure, tons of variables go into that.. Will you see him again? Probably not.. But if you shoot him you'll never know.. That deer will be a slammer next year.. I promise you tough, if you pass him, it's not like your pecker will fall off or something... It just depends. If that's a trophy to you, then slam him... If you would like one bigger, hold out, let him walk. You may not shoot him next year. But you may not shoot that 180 that shows up in Jan muzzy season either if you kill this one.. It's a gamble just like everything..

yeah i usually agree by the let it grow attitude and follow it but im just saying its really just a personal choice. like you said its all what any given hunter wants to choose to take.. either way that a hoss of a deer and next year he will be even more of a hoss. either way good luck.

Great deer but I def. don't think that deer goes 145"...I'm thinkin based of the pics not really knowing spread I'd say right around 130

I have a 135 on my wall I got when I was 17 and this one runs circles around it. I'm saying 145 or better.
The one in my avatar is 127 and this one dwarfs it. Just my opinion, but I think it is at least 145.
Either way, it's a great buck and a shooter.
Unless you have property where you can almost guarantee to see this buck again next year you gotta take a crack at him.

I'm guessing him to be barely 140 just because he just doesn't have the mass or big spread. His G-2's are definitely impressive though. Believe me if this thing comes in front of me, I'm shooting. He's bigger than anything I have on the wall so far.

Chub. High 140's if not bigger.
