Do you guys think its worthwile to set a stand next to a field, mabee 20 yards inside the woods? The woods is on the downwind side of the field. Im thinking that bucks will cruise parallel to the field inside the woods to try to cut a hot doe track. Anybody with experience with this? thanks

I think it could be a great plan if you have a field that no one bothers. There is nothing worse than kids on ATV's or people driving through right before dark. I wish I had a field I could hunt that no one bothered.

With the smaller spot woods in my area, my stands are on the average, around 30 to 40yds. from a field. Glassing outback, I've seen bucks dozens of times, walking just inside the woodline, parallel to the does feeding in the field during the evening. Dang, I wish they would get that corn picked.
