My 2009 Wyoming Antelope. I shot him from 400 plus and needed a follow-up shot. Four of us from Pike Co Ohio went out for a privite land hunt and did very well. My buck scored 90 6/8 inches B/C. I believe the state record is 91 2/8 in B/C.

Hunted North of Laramie of a friends property. Saw more bucks on the public ground beside us. First shot was 400 plus with my 7mag Encore. Second Shot 325yds. Tough little Suckers. I think anything over 84 inches makes Boone & Crockett Book.

Congratulations. Spot and stalk? How many days did you hunt? How many animals you see? What kind of country is it? Any other kinds of game around?

Our hunt was A lot of glassing from the truck with short stalks in the sage brush. I saw more than one thousand antelope from the privite land we had access to. The privite land boardered some large public hunting. Public ground was just as good as far as antelope numbers. We saw dozens of Jack Rabbits, Prarrie Dogs, and BADGERS that can also be hunted. We saw more Golden Eagels than we could count. Mule deer season was coming in as we were leaving, but no mulies were spotted in the areas we hunted nor were there any tags. :(

$286.00 Buck tag
$15.00 State License
$100.00 Antelope processing
Gave my Buddy a few bucks for having us out and feedin me. (Not Required) If you hunt state property it wouldn't cost a dime or make you feel guilty. State ground had bunches of nice bucks. Not monsters, but nice ones worth the trip.
$Fuel cost very. It's 1400 miles or so. And the four of us split and hotel room one night for showers. The rest of the time we camped. (Friggin Cold!!) But fun as long as the beer held out. The best trip I've done for under a thousand.
