anyone with furs to sell might consider one of the upcoming ohio state trappers associations fur auctions. next one will be held jan. 17th . at the wayne county fairgrounds , in wooster. starts at 9 am. 7% commission to members, 11% to non-members. next sale will be february 21st. near xenia at ison's fur company . last sale of the year will be march 6th. at the west muskingum high school , zanesville. furs will be taken dried, or on the carcuss or skinned but make sure there not still frozen . deerhides , as well as ginseng and others roots can be sold also . you may just walk in and get a number to sell the day of the sale or you can call in to get a number ahead of time . the public is welcome to attend even if you dont have fur to sell. there are bathrooms and food available at each site . more info is available on the osta web site at www.ohiostatetrapper.org . if you are interested in a number for the jan. sale , call steve massie after jan.12th at 937-663-0287 . feb. sale, call after feb. 16th. to steve massie. march sale, call after march 1st. to steve massie. do not call before call in dates. these sales are a great way to sell your furs , there will be many buyers bidding on them and as a rule you'll get high prices than just selling to one buyer .
