Nope any county any day of the week! I'm glad too because that is an extra day for me since I can't hunt during the week too much.

Not all state land. Hunting at Alum Creek SP is not allowed on sundays.

State Parks may allow public hunting but are not public hunting areas. They also can have different seasons, like opening in November. Then there are state forests, nature preserves, waterfowl refuges, and other arrangements which might have different rules.

That is correct. State Parks can make their own rules. I was confused about West Branch State Park being shotgun only (i.e. no .22 or other rifles allowed for squirrels). I called the DOW and they told me about State Parks having their own rules. I tell ya. I learn something new every day. :) :)

We got reamed out for hunting there with a .22 when I was a kid. Luckily my Dad knew the ranger and we didn't get a ticket. He sure wasn't happy though.

Yeah Alum Creek SP also has the no rifle rule except during certain hours and only for trapping basically.
