Finally, after being on backorder for about three weeks, the bow is being shipped (cabelas). Won't be here in time for opening day. No big deal, I've got loads of practice with the Hoyt and the chance of me even attempting a shot when the temps are plus 70 are pretty small. But it will be nice to take the new gear out for a spin. I can't wait.

Backorder sux. I want instant gratification.
But it sure is fun to get stuff you ordered in the mail/UPS/FedEx. I love it when I come home and there's a box waiting for me. It's like Christmas. I love that feeling.
Good luck out there.

Received the crossbow. Wow. If I said the bolts are a blur, I'd be guessing. Never actually saw one. Those things just hum. Very consistent groups. Can't wait to line a deer up in the crosshairs.

The Predator is 1 for 1. Shot a doe at 34 yards, broadside, wide open shot. Almost knocked her off her feet. :yikes: After she gathered herself, she turned and staggered about 25 yards in the direction she'd come from before she fell over. 125 grain, 3 blade Spitfire whizzed right through both lungs and buried half way to the fletching in the dirt.
I just might leave the Hoyt sit for a while longer.........

Great job on the doe. I have an older Horton Hunter and have been checking on the Predator. Is it loud? Any bad points about it?
