Went to get a crossbow sling today, at B*ss Pro, they only had one style and it was "the claw" for $40, so the a guy next to me says, "You know you can use a regular rifle sling for them too"
Why didnt the B*ss Pro guy say anything like that? Probably to get me to buy the expensive one.
I ended up buying a Red Head rifle sling, very comfortable, for $19.

I have one "expensive" sling that I really like and switch it between seasons from my crossbow to my slug gun and then balckpowder.

I have 4 slings but only 1 that is very comfortable. So it gets passed from x-bow to gun, exc. exc. exc.
You may already know this:
But, I carry my x-bow w/the shoulder strap on the butt end of the stock, looped over my head carrying the bow along my side. I can also get a finger hold on the bow to also help ease the weight. Very comfortable.
As a matter of fact I carry all my guns muzzle down but just over 1 shoulder unless I'm dragging a deer then the strap goes over my head. Just seems a lot easier to control.
