how do i get on a team

hey im not new to the website but i know nothing about this contest. i would like to get on a team so could someone fill me in on whats going on

There was a sign up thread that circulated for about a month. Sign ups closed on the 28th of August. Your only hope for this year is to sign up on the alternate thread.
