I wouldn't trust the ice yet just because I see so many places that have ice on parts and water on the rest.

I think it's a couple weeks early for this area. A few ponds have ice, but I don't think it is very safe yet. It would help to get some stable weather. We have had far too much rain the past couple weeks!

Don't get too anxious there sycamore as it is 46 degrees out today and the forecast is for mid 50's and rain this weekend. We sure have had some mild weather for December.

Not only mild in December but November as well. How many days of 60deg. weather did we have in November? I know it was alot!!
I think we are still going to get hammered before it's all said and done. Last year I couldn't even get the dogs out to run rabbits because the snow was to deep, and man was it cold!!!!

went out on a small pond this afternoon,it wasn,t very good about twenty feet out it was about a inch and a half thick. stopped there and headed back home, the winds at the beginning of the week kept the pond open till tues now it,s starting to thicken so by next week it should be good to go.the weather is suppose to be nice and cold this coming week..

Went out today and checked the ice on a small lake and it is only about 2 in. Hopefully with the temps staying down in the teens we will be able to go later on next week..
