I recently tested 2" Blazers w/ 2 of my hunting partners. We compared 2" Blazers against the longer factory fletchings that come on bolts. We used 3 crossbows, 12 different arrows & we were very surprised. WOW, whatta difference in consistancy & accuracy!!! I wish I knew this when I hunted w/ a crossbow. Dad should be passing out some dirt naps this year w/ this new setup. My local archery shop refused to put on 2" Blazers, they said, "not enough fletching to stabalize the arrow". This is BS!!! So we used the Quick Fletch & can now consistantly hold a baseball size pattern at 40 & 50 yards!! This is the most consistant & accurate any of our crossbows have EVER shot. We all agree, we will NEVER shoot the longer fletchings again!!! Try it, you will be amazed in the improvements!!!

Back in ancient history, plain bolts were used.

One thing to check, is to make sure you are locking the cable in the same way every time. I used a crossbow to sstart archery hunting (no comments) and I found out that the reason I wasnt getting good groupings wasnt because of my aim, it was because my string wasnt locked in the same place. I marked it with finger nail polish until I got the right place and then I never had that problem again. Wasnt the arrows. I shot 5 different kinds and they all flew about he same.

I never did shoot a 2" blazer though. Interesting.
