I can't wait! But don't you wait for the first frost before eating them?
My elderly (84 year old) neighbor told me that once about rabbits. Said it takes the gamey taste out. My dad (also 84) said that once, too. Don't know if there's anything to it (??) But I never heard of waiting w/ squirrel.
Happy hunting to all!

Well I read that warbles is found in rabbits and squirrels until after the frost. Has anyone ever seen abnormal white spots under the hide of the tree rats? If this isn't a big problem then I am going out this week cuz I am getting very impatient.

Nevermind guys. Evidently they are still safe to eat, but the thought is kinda disgusting. I still would like to know if anyone notices alot of warbles on the tree rats or not?
