I'm with ohiotrapper - P&Y or better buck or a mature doe. Haven't decided where yet or whether to use my long bow or compound. If I bring my traditional bow I'll be guaranteed to see something big at 20+ yds, which is outside of my comfort range for a cold shot

It all depends on the weather if i will be shooting for meat or something big. either way the wait will finally be over.

I am with frostyville. He is going to have to be a monster or i will wait. If a once in a lifetime buck comes by I am drawing blood. Otherwise, I need to wait til I can hang it. There will at least be a doe available at some point this year for the freezer and hopefully a nice buck to match.

I'm not 100% sure yet if I will be hunting or filming on opening day. My hunting buddy and I usually alternate the hunting/filming roles. Regardless, it will be nice to just get out in the woods again. What we'll be after all depends on what information we get from scouting and cameras between now and then. I would have no problems sticking a good buck on opening day. :mischeif:

I have no idea what I'm shooting...Obviously if a good buck comes thru I'll take em...Not sure if I'll scratch the itch and shoot a doe or not...Just gotta wait and see how I feel and what I have goin on...That will dictate if I'll have time to process one...

I will be hunting solo on opening morning in a stand near a watering hole at a pinch point in an oak flat. I'll have the camera in there a couple weeks before hand to figure out where the does are walking. I might take the recurve depending on where they are coming through. If any bucks show on the camera that are worth shooting, the curve will stay at home so I can make it happen if need be. It will need to be 140" or better to get an arrow from me opening day and through October...
I'll be filming my wife in the evening in a stand on another oak flat nearby or over the food plot in the bottom. I would love for us to both draw blood on our first hunts of the year...

I'm hoping to smoke a stud in Kansas Early Season Muzzeloader the week right before Ohio Archery Season opens. Opening day I will either still be in Kansas or filming my hunting partner because he's on some real nice ones. Trail cams pics of them coming by nearly everyday. Sunday will be my day to hopefully whack a doe on film unless that big boy decides to stroll on by.
