Winter Fish Stickn'

Jake when are you talking about coming up?I was talking with Jerry(a.k.a. Snag) yesterday and telling him I would like to get a few of us up there at the same time. You can't believe the numbers of shad that are there untill you see it with your own eyes!!!

I haven't really palnned on a specific time...I just figured I'd make it up sometime this winter...Probably in feb. after deer and waterfowl seasons are over and when the fish are really stacked up in there.

Where do you find the fish during the winter?

We fish near a power plant that has a warm water discharge..

I've seen some carp swirling in the river while duck hunting,but the it's usually too muddy this time of year.Seems that most of the power plants around here only change the temp by 10 or 15 degrees,but thats probably enough.

Went out sat. for about 2 hours and stuck a couple dozen.Hopefully with this cold front coming in the fish will start to bunch up..
