Congratulations on getting drawn! I wish I could help you out but I've never hunted at Magee... which is strange because I grew up and hunted all around it. I would suggest calling up the office there at Magee and picking the brains of the guys that work there. Or you could get on greatlakeswaterfowl.com or ohiowaterfowler.com.... you will probably get more responses there. Many of my friends have hunted Magee though, and from what I've heard it is pretty hit-and-miss over there... especially during the early season. You know how teal are... here today, gone tomorrow... so really any marsh is hit-and-miss during teal season. I have heard there are a lot of geese killed out there though. Good luck!

I have never hunted Magee during teal season, but I have heard it is pretty hit or miss, depending on the water levels. I do know it is not like there regular season hunts where they take you out, you have to bring your own boat.

yes you have to take your own boat which i like better because if you want to leave you can .during the regular season the boats they take you out in dont have motors which means you have to row back if you want to leave.last year i was in blind 16 and it was a pretty long way out to row back.Ive had people tell me not to hunt from the blinds that are already set up because the birds will flare from them.this year i will set up away from the blinds and see what happens.of course if there arent any birds it wont matter any way.
