I am in the market for a used or new atv disk to work on some food plots. Any recommendations on what to get and where to start looking for? I'm in SW PA but travel to Noble county every week.
Thanks.

Got this one at TSC for $579. Works really good if you put a couple cement blocks on
top of it.

mossymaple beat me to it! I was going to recommend the same disc. can be had at the end of season at tractor supply, way discounted around $300. we put a tire/rim filled with cement and weights front and back on ours. It reallys tears it up and you can crank the wheel down once you got the dirt so fine, you start sinking if you dont.

Hey guys thanks for the advice. I am not in a hurry so I might wait till I see a good deal around ;).
BTW, how does that disk work on new ground that has never been tilled before?
Also, how does it do around stumps? do I need to drive around them or does it just go over them?
Thanks.

Does great on new ground, of course you need to work up. i go over small stumps (1-2 inch), but you should dig them out and nip them with a chainsaw. this disc (King Kutter) is heavy duty, but dont abuse it.

Free!
I have actually put some money in this since it was given to me, but no more than $20. It works on soft ground pretty well, but I wish it had more aggressive teeth. But once the ground is worked, this works like a charm to prepare the bed. It just ain't pretty!
This is back in the old "duct tape" days! It held together and I did another plot with it after this one!!!

Since then, I replaced the old lumber with a new 4x4 and built the box to hold the concrete blocks. I did this whole plot with this disc...

We have alot of disk laying around, I found a pull type 7ft disk, and unbolted the rear section of it, and use the front section with the rhino, if you set the disk to cut then you dont even need weights on it

So if you got a bunch of disk laying around, don't you wanna get rid of some?
