It is amazing how fast and how much the racks grow.

Here is this big guy now and him 5 weeks ago. He was the smallest of the 3 shooters at that time. I thought he would end up being a 115" dink. I don't think a buck has ever surprised me as much as he did in terms of growth.

That buck has grown a lot. He is a dandy for sure. Any recent pics of the monster I prev dubbed "High Five" for his awesome split brow tines? It would be cool to see what he looks like these days. July is an exciting time, but August and September go WAY to slow! lol

Funny you should ask. I checked the camera today and got these.
He has also grown alot, but I knew he was going to be big from the start. I think I like him best, but it would be a tough choice if they both came by during the season. Mass or width and height.

Here he is from June for comparison. He's grown, just not as dramatically.

Just for comparison, here is the buck I call split right. These three have hung out all summer. This guy was the #2 buck in June, and he turned out about like I thought he would. I think he is now the smallest of the three though.

The plot these pictures come from is only about 1/3 acre. I planted some clover last year, but it is getting overgrown with grass. There is a bean field about 400 yards away and a CRP field about 300 yards away. The minerals are just salt blocks from TSC. The dark one is a trace element block. I put out a little 30-06 mineral supplement, but they didn't seem to hit it much. I have tried several of the mineral licks on the market. cmere deer, deer caine, trophy rock, etc. In my experience, I see less deer after using those. In the last 5 years I have had my camera up, I have found a regular old salt block works best. It is a lot cheaper too. The other stuff on the market is all hype. Most of them are just 100% salt anyway marked up 300%.I put out a gallon or two of corn every week or so just to keep stuff moving also. Once the season starts though, they seem to dissapear into the woodwork.

What a terrible problem to have. So many nice deer, you don't know which one to choose. I am truly envious!

Great pics! I really like the massive non-typical. I love character. How do you like your Scoutguard? I have 2 and will eventually pick up more.

windbreaker awesome collection of bucks!! I agree 100% with the generic blocks, I have also tried every type of rock, lick, home made recipe etc. and havent come across anything that works as good as the $6.00 generic blocks, they are all I use these days. Pike
