We finally gave our camp a name this year, been hunting together since 1983 but now were officially a non-profit hunting club here in Jackson County. We plan to use the first years' dues to build our hunting cabin after turkey season this spring. Elected a president, vice, and secretery, got official hats, leased some land, looks like were up and gone. Have 8 official members. Presently, our deer camp has taken 8 deer (6 does, a 4-pt, and a 6-pt) during gun season. We have taken 14 total deer this year including two wall hangers, a 7-pt with a 18.5 inch spread and an 8-pt. Still some tags left, we'll try tomorrow, if not there's always muzzleloading season.
