night hunting

i would like to hunt predators at night i have spotlight and will be using a electronic caller.i would like to know how do u spot the animal thru a scoped rifle?do u have to have a lighted scope?or could u have a hunting partner behind u with the light aluminating your scope with the spot light?any help would be really cool thank u

First, I think you'd probably be safer using a shotgun at night and I'm not sure that rifles are even legal in Ohio for night hunting. I can promise that the game warden would have a few questions for you. Many people use a head lamp. I tape a flashlight to the bottom of my shotgun.
