Hey everyone. Name is Lance. 24 years old, owner of a small business. I live in Columbus but born and raised in Sunbury. I've been a shooter my whole life, but just really getting into hunting. I really got into shooting when I was 11 with Sporting Clays. I mainly do shotgun sports, but I dabble in Tactical 3-Gun down at Pickaway County Sportsman's. I also do some varmit shooting from time to time.

I have 350 acres in Coshocton county that I will be deer hunting on. I can't decide if I am going to do Muzzleloader or Shotgun.

Well just wanted to say hello!

:Welcome: to the site. I am sure that you will find it very fun and informative. If I where you I would hunt it with a compound bow. You get to hunt alot longer that way, and it don't sound like world war 3! :D Wish you the best of luck with your new love.

Ha, I haven't shot a bow since I was 8 probably. Is using a crossbow cheating? I've never shot one, but it's probably like a long gun right? :dizzy:

Nope, it's not cheating...it's a smart way to extend your deer hunting opportunity from 1-2 weeks a year to 4 months. Be warned - a crossbow is a gateway drug into the harder stuff...first compounds, then better compounds, then you'll be out trying to score a recurve bow....you'll get "strung out", so to speak:D

Welcome to the site. There are alot of smart, helpful dudes here, a wealth of knowledge.
Best wishes,
Dan
