Anyone know if slick tricks need to be oriented any specific way? I have previously shot thunderhead 125's with less than perfect results. I just bought some ST 125 magnums and have yet to shoot them. I shoot a martin moab 64#, 27" draw, beman ICS hunter 400 w/three 2" blazer vanes, and 125gr field points. My field points are flying great (bullet holes through paper and very consistant grouping) Does it matter if I have a four blade broaded with three vanes? Do I need to worry about orienting a blade with a vane?

No they do not need to be oriented. Three vanes are fine. Just screw them in and spin test the arrow to make sure the shaft insert isn't causing an angle. You'll love them.

I know alot of people hate open on impact broadheads and I used to be one of them but man they fly straight and boy you have to see the hole they make. Just my thought.

I switched to Slick Trick 100g mags and love em! I put them on for my last Elk trip and they were on out to 60 yds with out having to adjust anything!

Your right! I love em! not only do they fly identical to my field points, the penetration was unreal. I blew thru my broadhead target 18" sticking out back side. Thunder heads never came close to going thru, I thought it was a fluke or my target was wore out so I shot a new thunder head and hit close to same spot only but had 8" sticking out front of target (everything the same on both shots, just different broadheads) I'm convinced.

been shooting them for the last 3 seasons, two pass thrus on the two bucks I've shot.shot high at 35 yds. on the first buck hit just under the spine, broke his back and the arrow was sticking in the ground, just had a few small nicks in the replacement blades. gold tip hunter xt shafts and blazer vanes. they shoot great. ditto on the spin test and your good ta go.
