Dog training question???

Anyone know the best way to train a rabbit dog? The only way I know of is to take it with another dog? I only know one other person with a rabbitt dog and it isn't all that great of a dog. Any in central Ohio that I can train my dog with. Maybe there is no hope for her as she is quite stubborn! lol

I'm sure taking her with another dog would be the preferred method, but she could also pick up bad habits. We were far from pros at it, but when we had beagles, we'd drag a road killed rabbit around and them let the dogs track it. Seemed to work.

When I used to have beagles we usually killed a rabbit and blood their nose with it, then let them run with the big dogs until they started barking and would hunt on their own. But our dogs were well trained and they never had bad habits, man I sure wish I had them back nothing like hearing that bellow when on the trail.
