4 Musky Today!

Wow! Got a 43"r, a 47"r, a 48" and 50! Well, not exactly, but they'll be that big in about 3 years. lol

Hot diggity dog man. It was a good bite this morning at Alum. My uncle and I were trolling deep divers, and I caught 4 musky(26,28,28 & 30"s). He stayed with the bigger baits hoping for a hawg, but it didnd't happen. We got off the water at 11:30am as he had a function to get to, but the fish sure were biting. We actually started off the morning casting and had 3 follows in about an hour. So we started trolling and I'm sure I caught at least two of those same fish. It was a blast!

No pictures as we did quick water releases on all of them as the water temps are really warm now(79). All fish took off great once freed.

Congrats! Sounds like a great time. I was going to ask about photos before I finished reading your post. Smart thing to do this time of year (quick release) with water temps being so warm.

Great job! Wish we could have seen some pix but the fish's welfare is more important. I have never fished for musky but the fact you caught those 4 at that size really bodes well for AC, or at least to my un-musky-educated brain it does!

Congrats CG. Those might not have been the hawgs you was looking for but, It does sound like your getting closer. Just being able to locate them and catch even the smaller ones on a regular basis makes me think it won't be long till you hook a bigun :D. Good Luck and keep at it and have some fun doing it.

It's always good to hear that reel start screaming when your trolling, even if is just briefly. They put a nice bend in the rod and the 30" gave a jump and cleared the surface by about 4 feet. It was a lot fun. I think had we been able to stay out we might have boated a biggun, but that's the way it goes.
