Are these two the same buck?

I posted this on another forum I go to and everybody thought they were the same. I know they aren't great pictures but they are all I have of this 1 or 2 deer, also obviously the year was incorrect. Trying to settle a debate with a hunting buddy and would like some extra eyes. I say they're different he says the same. What do you think? Particularly I think the left G3 on the lower one is angled forward where on the top one it goes almost straight up.

Nothing jumps out that makes me say they are different. You would have a hard time picking up the lean on that G3 from the rear and I can't tell enough one way or another. I say they are the same...

I'd lean towards same deer. If you look at the 1st photo, that left G3 you can see has a very slight arc to it which looks like it tilts in, and that is the same angle on the left G3 you can see from the back in the 2nd pic. One thing that might suggest different deer is the from behind, the right G3 looks shorter than the G2, in the 1st pic they are pretty level, but the deer could just have his head tilted down in the 2nd photo.

I'd still go same buck.

It might be a branch, but in the 2nd pic the left antler looks like it could have a crab claw at the tip that i don't see on the first pic.

Hmmm.. I am guessing you are hoping they are 2 different deer as I would be also... I feel your pain... but nothing really sticks out to show they are different.... I am guessing they are the same... but I say go ahead and hunt them both and shoot the biggest one haha.

I don't know, it looks like the second picture has more of a belly than the deer in the first picture. The deer in the first picture seems pretty skinny. It also looks like the white hair on the right side of the belly comes up a little higher on the second picture. Can't say for sure though.

I guess I'll concede then and pass it off as wishful thinking. I looked at several things including the white on the belly that was mentioned. I also thought the one had considerably more black on his tail than the other. They probably are the same however now that several outside opinions have been put forth. Thanks guys.
