two things that baffle me are...why hasn't there ever been a book on ben pearson...and why has there not been a book on bear bows and how to identify them...:Dactually i'd like to see a book on how to identify bows from all of the manufactures of fiberglass/wood lamenated bows...
i have talked to ben pearsons son on line long ago about the possibility of a book...he seemed to say there was a possibility...i wish somebuddy thats capable to do it would do it before its too late...:D

You seem to know alot about Fred Bear and Bear bows. If you supply the information perhaps you can find someone to compile the info and write the book

no i really don't...xcept from about 1964 to 1970...71...because i lived thru those years and remember them...unfortunately thats the easiest bows to identify thru serial numbers thru 69...same goes for many of the other manufacturers too...my strengths are browning, shakespeare, ben pearson and bear...some roots and wings, york, american archery and darton...indian...:Di don't specialize in just one brand or model like many do...i want a collection that shows many bows of all the different companies...:D
funny thing though...i bought this bow from a guy...that said it was a 59 bear kodiak special...and i seen it on ebay too as a 59...another guy a bear xpert swore up and down it was a 60...well i checked it out on my bear video catalog cd...its a 59...the copper coin identified it...:D
