Yah or Nay???
Would you knowingly shoot a button buck for the freezer?
I know it's probably not the wisest thing (depending on who you talk too), but I'd do it in heart beat.
You can't get a deer that taste much better....;)

NAY! I shouldnt of shot that little 4 pointer this year. I usually like to pass on anything under 3 1/2 years old. Let the little ones get big...This year I dont know why I shot it.....Oh well... Its good eatin anyways.

My neighbor just went to a food plot seminar in which ODNR talked about deer management also. He advised never to shoot the button bucks in your hunting area and leave the big, mature does alone too. The key, he said, to balancing the herd is to shoot only the yearling does and young of the year fawns. Makes sense to me......TF
