I have only looked a little bit and nothing so far. A buddy found a dozen small ones last week. The rain tonight and tomorrow should get them going pretty good.

I found 11 blacks on Friday evening and another 5 yesterday. I found them in the exact same spot as I found some yellows last year. I am new to mushroom hunting, will the yellows pop up in the same spot as last year??

My dad and I usually find all of them in the same spot as they were the last year...some times it varies...there will be years with tons and the next year not a dang one....but My dad and I found 20 grays around an elm tree yesterday...all too tiny to pick so we watered them and covered them up and will give them a week to grow....The only out in the woods activity my dad does is mushroom hunting and he has a pretty good set of mushroom eyes and sprints from spot to spot...I can't keep up with him....last year when I lived in delaware I had a hot spot where I found 13 grays and 166 spikes.....all very easy walking too!! Yea Gern if you find a spot it will usually produce every year....My dad found over a hundred blacks friday night in one of his hot spots that he checks every year.,..by the way has anyone heard what they are going for??.....never sell them its always nice to see how much money we could make if we sold them.

I went out for about an hour and found 30 dog peckers,28 big greys and only 3 yellows. All but the yellows were found under the same apple tree amongst the dog peckers.I was just about to call it quits when I stumbled upon the patch.:p
