No shoots for me, but I do plan on shooting quite a bit this year. Would like to eventually hunt with my recurve, just want to be 100% sure of my abilities before I try to hunt.

My goal is to build one myself this summer and killa deer with it this fall.... Hell of a goal.. All I need to do now is get off my butt and build one...
Recurve / laminated longbow / take down.. I haven't made my mind up yet
I was thinking about talking with you coon about the possibility of you letting me trace on of your recurves so I can get the shape for my forms.

bingham projects has excellent videos on making all bow styles you mentioned and how to make the jigs...they also have a catalog with everything you need to build a bow including jigs, blueprints and templates,patterns...a lot of todays bowyers started out with bingham...:D

I think I'm going to finally get serious this year. been goofin around with recurves and longbows and selfbows too long. I'm gettin serious and going to an OSTA shoot. seriously, I'll be there. I'm going to make a bow, too. I think I'm gonna hunt with my stickbow this year. I have supreme confidence in the 8-12 yard range. I practically never miss at that distance, although nothing is a sure bet with this inferior type of equipment. :D hehehe, I love threads like this.
I wonder how many "serious sportsmen"(that weren't dropping acid) actually bought one of those Auto-Quivers?

ah ha ha ha...i never been fooled by gadgjits...not even back then...i only owned 2 quivers back then...the 1st was a kwickee kwiver...the second a bear quiver...and i didn't fall for the ripper broadhead or the serpintine...or the bloodtrail...i used the good old freddy bear razorhead...the same broadhead i use today...gagjits aren,t my style...just a cut on contact 2 or 4 bld. broadhead 125 gr...and i prefer 2 blade called the razorhead,by freddy bear...still one of the best...if not the best...heh heh heh...:D
