Post your turkey hunting forecast.
I'll be hunting Clark County and making a weekend trip to Belmont County I think. As far as scoutng goes, Ive been seeing groups of hens and lone hens. No Toms? Two weeks ago I heard 2 hens sounding off but no gobbling. Not sure what to expect!

Hey guys, I hope I can contribute to the team. I've only hunted turkeys a few times and no success yet but I think this is the year.
Still trying to figure out my schedule for next week. Will be hunting Noble county where I've been seeing a bunch of turkeys.
Good luck

my niece killed her first bird this a.m. at 630. yesterday was the first time she had ever turkey hunted and she almost killed a tom the first 15 mins i took her. as for todays hunt we had birds gobbleing like crazy and one of the toms come charging in about 25-30 yds away. she made a perfect shot. i havent heard how much it weighed yet her dad was taking it to get checked. it had 1 inch spurs and a 9 inch beard. a solid 2 year old judging by the rounded spurs. now it looks like i will get wet tomorrow :(

Just so you all know, the 4th person for this team is Mas19. He checked in on a different team, but he will be on this team. I sent him a PM, so he should be posting here in the near future. Good luck!
Oh, and congrats to TripleA88 for the opening day bird!

Hey guys, nice job with those birds. I haven't had much luck. I hunted Friday morning in a known turkey area. I heard one behind me on top of the hill that kept answering my call and then stopped. About 20 minutes later, I saw it flying, went over my head and into the field on the neighbor's property. Later it might have been the same turkey or a different one but I had some responses before the woods went quiet for good.
I could have hunted Saturday and Sunday but I had big work to do on the farm. My neighbor and I got a dozer for the weekend to get some driveways put in and clear the cabin site. Its looking real good!!!
I will try my luck again next weekend.

Well, I really don't know what to say. I hunted yesterday and did not hear or see one bird. I've seen turkeys almost evryday on my property until hunting season started. There is really not much pressure if any in the neighborhood properties either. Where the heck did they go? Ohh yeah I did see flock behind my camper the other day exiting the hay field after hunting hours:irked:
