Has anyone noticed how bare shelves have looked in the ammo isle lately. Went to the local gun shop earlier last week, Wal-mart, Meijer and they're all looking bare. Hmmm, wonder if the Obama BS has anything to do with it. Yea, thanks too the so called Obama for Sportsman voters! You guys are awesome!!!!!:irked:

I noticed it going online back in December for things like .223 / .45 / 9mm / .40.. It took Walmart into late January to start having supply problems.. I talked to my local sporting goods guy at my walmart and he said he gets in maybe 1 or 2 boxes a week of any .45.. He's cool he looks just like snoop dog. I mean exactly... He's cool to talk with..
... and they laughed when went to Walmart shopping and would grab a box (of shells)of this or that for no reason...:16suspect1:

Yea .380's , 9s, and 45's are flying off the shelves, even at the high prices. I think it has something to do with the compact handgun demand, since we have new management in washington. The prices should come down slowly as the metals market gets better. lead shot for reloading has finally come back to a semi reasonable price, because gander mtn used to sell it for about 50 bucks a bag. thats nuts

All the Wal-Mart stores close to me are not going to sell ammo or guns anymore. I was in the Bucyrus Wal-Mart and they have no hunting stuff of any kind no black powder guns, bows, ammo, clothes, calls nothing. They just had fishing gear and that was it. The Mansfield store wasn't much better so I wouldn't bother trying to find hunting stuff there anymore.

It may look that way now but come next September the hunting stuff will be back.. They are moving it to a "seasonal" sales Item.

I hope they bring some of it back anyway :). Most of the sales people around here aren't really very helpful or don't know whats going on half the time. They just told me they wasn't going to stock the stuff anymore.

Its not "new management in Washington" its a bunch of incompetent .......voted in by people who were mistaken and lied to in what the word change means. Anyone serious about shooting, get a reloading outfit for the future.

I think FF&F gets a truck in on Wednesday's but, I would call and make sure. The last 2 that came in they had a pallet of primers and they sold out in a day. They also have limited it to 1,000 per costumer/visit.

Was at Woodbury Outfitters on Sat this past weekend and they had a really good selection of ammo. Was finally able to get a couple boxes of 6mm shells. I was getting a annoyed with the usual shops around here.

I've had pretty good luck finding reloading supplies there but I think their prices are a little high. They wanted $27.99 for a lb of varget and I was able to find 8lb jugs at Kames for $158. But for the most part I think it's worth it to go one place and find what you need and pay a little more verses driving all over just to save a few dollars, and still not find what you need. If I hadn't seen the varget the day before at kames I'd have probably bought from them just because I was there and they had it.
