What is the easiest way to trap raccoons without trapping other animals such as turkeys, rabbits, etc? I was thinking about the live traps? I was wanting to start trapping coons on my property. I am getting tons of coon pics at my deer feeders at night. I know coons are also hard on turkey nests as well. I'm getting as many as 5-6 coons on film and I would like to reduce those numbers.

Lil' Grizz dog proof coon trap. They are about 22 dollars each but If you want to make some very cheap ACK has a thread on here somewhere with instructions. Can't catch a dog turkey rabbit or anything but coons and opossums.
I’ll look for that thread.. I found where ACK put it on Trapperman.com. He posted it here to but i knew right where it was on TM

If you use live traps, bait with peanut butter. They cannot resist.

Cat food works good too, my neighbor and I pulled on out of another neigbors attic yestarday. Scrawny female no young ones but she might have been getting prepared for it. Friend of mine said it was illegal to do it like we did cause they want you to get a pro and pay over 200 for trapping and removal. I dont know about larger properties but cat food peanut butter or some old bluegill works great. Does anyone know if selling the hides is legal and where to sell them?

When are you planning on starting to catch them? Most have babies hidden somewhere right now. :bouncy:
