Found a matched 7pt. set today laying in/next to the median on I 71 south near exit 173. As I passed by, I saw the one on the road. I got a good enough look to see that it wasn't broken and had the base. With no deer carcass laying around, I decided to turn around at the next exit. When I stopped, I took pictures of the one in the road with my camera phone. As I turned to head back to my car, I saw the other side laying in the grass. I'll see if I can post the photo later.

Guess I have been looking in the wrong places. :D
Highway shed hunting sounds like it would not take as much engery as walking 5 miles in the woods. Pluse you can cover more ground faster. :D
Good eyes and Congrat's!

Good eyes! It's funny how you just pick them out of the scenery (sheds) once you get hooked on shed hunting! I found a nice single off 75 last year - my wife thought I was crazy but there it was big as day when we turned around and came back through.

Thanks for all the congrats. That is at least the third time I've spotted them from my car. The first time was on purpose. On a moonlit evening the night before I saw a large herd of deer grazing in winter wheat amid a dusting of snow. In the herd there was more than one half rack. The next day I went back with my binos and spotted a small side within just a few minutes. The second one is the guy below. Fifty miles an hour talking to my wife on the cell phone. "Hold on honey, I think I just saw a great big shed..." It was sitting on the edge of a picked corn field.

Funny you mentioned it, but your stories are very similar to mine. My wife is always yelling at me because I'm scanning sheddy areas while driving. She's right you know, except when there's a straight stretch with no incoming traffic and no passengers!LOL

I told my wife I was worried about getting hit by a car and killed trying to pick up those sheds. I figured if I died at that time people would wonder what I was up to since I was supposed to be heading south. She said, "we'd know it was something like that". :bouncy:

My wife won't let me drive half the time because she says I'm watching the fields and the woods more than I watch the road.
I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Great find. I wonder if the State Troopers could get you for pulling over without an emergency. Not that it would stop me from getting a shed. Just curious.

That is alot of bone settin' on that pool table! Better have that table re-leveled after taking that thing off of it, SLATE or NOT! What did it score? and how long is the beam? My guess is in the 70's plus!

That is one of the more impressive finds in my collection. I've never scored it. It has great mass and beam length, but no tines at all. The G-1 is the longest tine at about 8 1/2. Does have lots of character though.
